A Life in Development: Advice from Development and Humanitarian Practitioners

For her intern project, Caitlin Mittrick interviewed six Academy members in order to write an article about careers in international development. This article encapsulates experiences from time spent in the field, as well as lessons learned from building a bridge between Washington and foreign governments in order to implement lasting change on the ground. A useful resource for many, this article also conveys career advice to any student or emerging professional seeking to establish themselves in the field of international development. Along with being uploaded on the Academy's website, this article has been shared with college career centers.
