Aggrey

O. Rudolph

O. Rudolph Aggrey (July 24, 1926 – April 6, 2016) was a United States Ambassador to Senegal, Gambia and Romania.

He graduated in 1946 from Hampton Institute and received his Master’s degree from Syracuse University in 1948.

In 1977, President Jimmy Carter nominated Aggrey to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the U.S. to Romania.

Aggrey was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha, the first intercollegiate Greek-letter fraternity established for African Americans.
